UN consultative status for Wockhardt Foundation

The organisation has been awarded for clearing all parameters which are under the UN Consultative Status rules.

New Delhi: Wockhardt Foundation, a non-profit organisation operating in India has been awarded ‘United Nations Consultative Status’, 2018.

Organisations that have a special ,competence in, and are concerned specifically with, only a few of the fields of activity covered by the Council and its subsidiary bodies, and that are known within the fields for which they have or seek consultative status shall be known as organizations in special consultative status.

Wockhardt Foundation got it after passing all parameters under UN Consultative Status rules & framework laid down by UN. Says it’s CEO, Dr Huz, “this special status will give Wockhardt Foundation the opportunity to make greater contribution with international support and address issues linked to poverty at a greater scale”.

Wockhardt Foundation is a Not-For-Profit Organization engaged in social service and human welfare activities. Its 18 programmes, in the areas of health, education, water & sanitation have made perceptible change in its areas of operations to the lives of the underprivileged.

Its programmes such as Mobile 1000, Little Hearts, Pronto Toilet, Pronto Bio Toilet, E-Learning, Khel Khel Mein, Wockhardt Skills Development Institute, Shudhu Water Purification Tablets, Swachh Bharat Recycle Machine, Adarsh Gram Yojana and various other Initiatives have made significant impact and it continues to expand Its social coverage In areas where the need is the most.
