JanaJal begins installation of Water ATMs in Ghaziabad

The project is part of a plan to install largest decentralized footprint of water ATMs under PPP model in Delhi NCR.

New Delhi: JanaJal, India’s first dedicated water services company have recently commenced the installation of a massive project to install, commission and operate 200 Water ATMs in association with Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam in a combination of fixed and mobile water ATMs. The project is expected to be the largest cluster of water ATMs in any urban area in India and will serve at least 100,000 citizens daily.

Phase 1 of this project will see 20 water ATMs commissioned by April 2018 at Bhopura Chowk, Power House - Shalimar Garden, Tulsi Niketan near Mother Dairy and Indra colony. The JanaJal WOW mobile water ATMs shall also be operated within the same vicinity. The plan is to focus on building dense clusters of water ATMs that can make safe water available, accessible and affordable to communities.

JanaJal is already operating nearly 100 water ATMs in Mumbai region spreading across Maharashtra and Gujarat at various railway stations in association with IRCTC and Indian Railways. The company will also be installing 50 water ATMs at various locations in NDMC area in New Delhi that will be operationalized by April 2018.

Remotely supervised and monitored, every JanaJal water ATM delivers the highest standards in quality and services with the promise to provide the much-desired relief to people in Delhi NCR during the upcoming summer season. The company has already provided access to safe drinking water to more than 80 million beneficiaries till date and aims to serve one billion people by 2020.
