K. G. Suresh

k_g_suresh.jpgThe Director General of Indian Institute of Mass Communication has earlier served as Senior Consulting Editor with Doordarshan News, Editorial Consultant with Asianet News Network, Chief Political Correspondent with Press Trust of India, and Group Media Advisor to Dalmia Bharat Enterprises Ltd. With a rich professional cross media experience of about three decades, Suresh is the recipient of Prem Bhatia Fellowship for Research in Media by Young Journalists. A post-Graduate in Mass Communications, he has also completed a Public Health Journalism Experiential Course at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

K.S. Sachidananda Murthy

sachi_moorthy.pngAs the Resident Editor of Malayala Manorama and The Week at New Delhi, Sachi coordinates the Delhi Edition of Malayala Manorama, as well as the national reporting for Malayala Manorama and The Week. He specialises in coverage of international and national affairs and regularly writes on governance, international relations, diplomacy, constitutional matters, parliamentary affairs, national security and politics. He has frequently travelled with the Presidents and Prime Ministers of India to cover their bilateral and multilateral visits. He also covered the 1991 coup in Soviet Union and the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka.

Nivedita Mookerji

nivedita.jpgA journalist with 25 years of experience across several media organisations including Business Standard, DNA, The Economic Times, and The Financial Express, Nivedita works currently with the Business Standard newspaper as Resident Editor, New Delhi. She writes on government policy and also tracks businesses. Her areas of specialisation have been telecom, internet-led industry, retail and media, besides covering key ministries and government departments including the Prime Minister's Office.

Pervin Varma

pervin.jpgStarting her career in advertising with Lintas India (now Lowe), Pervin moved to CRY (Child Rights and You) in 1990. In 1998, she was appointed CEO and headed CRY till she left in 2004. Since then, she has been a consultant within the development sector. She serves as a trustee on the boards of CRY, Citizens for Peace (CFP) and Zensar Foundation, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Pratham Books.

Gulan Kripalani

gulan.jpgAs a trained practitioner-coach and communication professional, Gulan has been a consultant to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other agencies and has worked in several countries in Africa, Asia, Pacific Islands and the Arab States, using a unique learning-in-action methodology to address HIV and AIDS, domestic violence, gender issues, child rights, sustainability etc.  She also set up and ran SOMAC (Social Marketing and Communications), the development communication division of Lowe Lintas, a premier advertising agency.

Tarun Cherukuri

tarun.jpgWith both research and teaching experience in education, Tarun taught for two years in a low-income private school in Pune as a Teach For India (TFI) Fellow. He was the City Director of TFI Delhi Operations before transitioning to the full time role of the CEO at Indus Action, a non-profit company focussed on a Right to Education enrollment campaigns and inclusion programmes for mixed classrooms.  He has been recognized with BITS 30 under 30, Raymond Vernon Award for the best graduating MPA/ID student, and recently with Emerging Global Leader by Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Board. He graduated with an MPA/ID from Harvard Kennedy School in 2013.

Rajiv Tikoo

rajiv-tikoo.jpgA development communication professional of more than two decades, Rajiv is currently Managing Director of OneWorld Foundation India.  In his earlier stints, he has worked in leadership positions in regional, national and international organisations like OneWorld South Asia, United Nations Millennium Campaign, the Indian Express Group, and the India Today Group. His academic background is in social and sustainable development. Besides, he is recipient of fellowships from International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Panos South Asia, and the University of Cambridge.
