While the world hailed the first successful post-conflict poll in Sri Lanka’s north, the north Indian state of Delhi elected the Aam Aadmi Party over the issue of governance and transparency to trounce two of the biggest political parties of India including the 127-year-old Congress. If democracy had a smooth sailing in Sri Lanka, Nepal and India, Bangladesh was in for trouble as the Oppostion parties decided to oppose the upcoming January-2014 elections for the Parliament.

South Asian women wrest 2013
